Can I use popular music apps (Spotify, Apple Music, etc)? Unfortunately, we cannot assume that every student has a subscription unless you have required that students subscribe as part of their course fee. Free accounts can be made on Spotify to create, share, and listen to playlists (streaming only, with advertisements). Additionally, while many students do have accounts on Spotify or similar programs, there are legitimate privacy concerns that may cause some students to opt-out of signing up.
What about music on youtube? You can create playlists and then change the playlist privacy settings to make them sharable by link, but keep in mind that those in different countries have access to different content and videos may be removed or edited at any time with no warning.
