Artists' Books

Artists' books are works of art that take the form of, or are
inspired by, books. SCUA holds nearly five hundred artists' books spanning six decades. Topical genres include poetry, race, gender, environmental issues, incarceration, and more, while formats include pop-up books, accordion-fold, broadsides, playing cards, kites, and many more.

Prominent book artists represented in our collection include Maureen Cummins, Colette Fu, Werner Pfeiffer, Carol Schwartzott, and Clarissa Sligh.

Our artists' books may be searched in the library catalog;
please contact us to learn more about our holdings.                                    What's Happening with Momma? by Clarissa Sligh
