United States Statistical Sources: Agriculture

The USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) conducts hundreds of surveys every year and prepares reports covering virtually every aspect of U.S. agriculture.

The ERS mission is to inform and enhance public and private decision making on economic and policy issues related to agriculture, food, the environment, and rural development. It disseminates information via research reports, market analysis and outlook reports, economic briefs, and data products.

Agricultural Statistics is published each year to meet the diverse need for a reliable reference book on agricultural production, supplies, consumption, facilities, costs, and returns.

Census of Agriculture is the leading source of facts and figures about American agriculture. Conducted every five years, the Census is the only source of uniform, comprehensive agricultural data for every state and county in the United States.
