About Me

Hello!  My name is Jason Snyder, and welcome to my page.  I'm a double Bucknell alumnus (class of '95 undergrad, and '98 MA).  I also have a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. I'm the librarian for some of the Arts and Humanities departments (English/Film and Media Studies/Creative Writing, History, Music, Linguistics, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Arabic, Hebrew).  I'm in charge of the library's media collection, and I also coordinate outreach and communications efforts for Library and Information Technology.

Outside of work, I'm a huge film and music buff, and enjoy collecting vinyl records and CDs.  My all-time favorite musical artist is Prince, and my favorite film of all time is "All The President's Men."  In my spare time, I like playing racquetball, and can be found several times a week in the fieldhouse, playing ball with friends.  I also enjoy hiking, and international travel.  In Summer 2022, these two hobbies converged, when I accompanied a group of Bucknell students and faculty to hike the Camino de Santiago in Spain.  Here's a picture of me on the Camino!
