Looking for books, articles, CDs, scores, and other materials for a paper or project? You can use WorldCat to search for resources that are held at Bucknell and at libraries around the world. Please note that your search is not strictly limited to materials having to do with the study of music. Check beside the call number in the catalog record to see if the item is held in Bertrand Library or in the Music Department Library in the Sigfried Weis Music Building.

Whether you are seeking information about Gregorian chants, Handel’s operas, hip-hop, or elementary music education, this is the place to start. RILM is a comprehensive, international database providing citations and abstracts for scholarship on music, covering on topics relating to musicology, music education, theory, performance, and more.

A collection of full text scholarly journals from a variety of subject areas, including music. Consider limiting your initial search by discipline and be aware that JSTOR does not often cover a journal's most recently published issues.

Provides full text to nearly 200 scholarly journals in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and mathematics.

If you are doing research relating to music education, ERIC (the Education Resource Information Center) is another great database to search. ERIC is the world's most widely used index to educational-related literature, containing a wide variety of journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, dissertations and theses, and books.

The Performing Arts Database offers access to citations, abstracts, and full text of articles from scholarly and professional journals, magazines, newspapers, and other publications. Subjects covered include dance, film, drama, opera, stagecraft, comedy, pantomime, puppetry, magic and television.

Google Scholar searches for scholarly materials in journals, books, and other sources. Will also display Bucknell's full-text access if Library Link is enabled.
