Please note that your search is not strictly limited to materials having to do with the study of music. RILM is a comprehensive, international database providing citations and abstracts for scholarship on music, covering on topics relating to musicology, music education, theory, performance, and more.

A collection of full text scholarly journals from a variety of subject areas, including music. Consider limiting your initial search by discipline and be aware that JSTOR does not often cover a journal's most recently published issues.

If you are doing research relating to music education, ERIC (the Education Resource Information Center) is another great database to search. ERIC is the world's most widely used index to educational-related literature, containing a wide variety of journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, dissertations and theses, and books.

The Performing Arts Database offers access to citations, abstracts, and full text of articles from scholarly and professional journals, magazines, newspapers, and other publications. Subjects covered include dance, film, drama, opera, stagecraft, comedy, pantomime, puppetry, magic and television.
