About Katie

Why Make an Appointment?

I hope you'll feel free to make an appointment to meet with me! There are lots of reasons you might want to do so.

We can...

  • find and evaluate data
  • come up with a solid strategy for data management
  • identify and learn about statistical software
  • create a strategy for visualizing and sharing your results
  • work through any troubling aspects of your data analysis

About Me

I am the data services specialist here at Bucknell, and am available to help students and faculty with their data needs. I believe that data is for everyone and that data literacy is a necessary skill for all people to possess. Therefore, I love helping people increase their data literacy and technical skills.

I grew up in a small town in Michigan and have a BS in Education and Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan. As a recovering nomad, before calling Pennsylvania home, I have lived in Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, and California. Prior to joining the Research Services team here at Bucknell, I spent the past decade working on data analysis, research and evaluation in local government.

Outside of work (and Excel), I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three year old twins. On Saturdays in the fall you can find all of us watching college football. I also enjoy Jeopardy, reading, cooking, and traveling.
