POLS-296 Quantitative Methods: Getting Started

Welcome to POLS-296

We've created this guide to help students in the Political Science department to more easily navigate a topic with which students may have little experience working with: Quantitative Data Sets and how to find scholarly research related to a topic.

This guide will give you some places to start looking at both the topic of Quantitative Data as a whole and how to find the specific pieces of your final project that require data sets or scholarly research. It will also provide some insights into who to reach out to in order to get help with your homework assignments, what databases might be best for finding scholarly research in Political Science and adjacent disciplines, as well as where to find basic resources available at Bucknell on using R software more easily.
