I hope you'll feel free to make an appointment to meet with me! There are lots of reasons you might want to do so.
We can...
I'm the Social Sciences Librarian here at Bucknell, although as I always say, I don't work with all of the social science departments. My subject specialties include: anthropology, economics, environmental studies, geography, neuroscience, psychology, sociology, and women's and gender studies. I am also known as a census data expert in the library, and I love helping students with their research questions and hunting down obscure datasets.
I grew up in a small town in southeastern Pennsylvania and attended Gettysburg College for my B.A. in psychology and women's studies before relocating to the Midwest (Michigan and then Illinois) for more than a decade. I split my time in the Midwest between graduate school and working for the now closed bookstore chain Borders. I returned to PA in January 2011, when I joined the Research Services team here at Bucknell. I'm a perpetual student, and have master's degrees in women's studies, library science, and education.
Outside of work, I love to check out state parks and photograph nature, especially waterfalls and flowers. I also enjoy reading, researching my family history, and useless trivia. I am owned by two goofy cats, Giana and Annie.
