HIST 280: Mexican and Central American History: Books

How to Find Books in the Bertrand Library Collection

In starting your research, you first will want to consult the Bertrand Library catalog to see if we have any materials including books, journal articles, and other types of resources that might help you in both developing your research topic by doing some preliminary research and in more deeply exploring a topic once you've picked a focus area.

For more information on how to get books from other libraries using our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services, check out our ILL research guide

Other online resources for books/eBooks:

Latin American, Caribbean, Latinx, and Iberian Free Online Resources (LACLI)
LACLI is managed by the Latin America Northeast Libraries Network (LANE), a network of library professionals representing academic and research libraries mainly in the Northeastern United States. LANE is a regional affinity group with ties to the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM). LACLI is an essential tool to find websites that provide access to a great variety of resources such as audiovisual materials, books, data, ephemera, government documents, oral histories, periodicals, reference works, visual materials, web archives and more!

RED BAALC Network

The integrated catalogue of the BAALC Network includes the records of the collections of the academic libraries belonging to the Network of Academic Libraries of Latin America and the Caribbean (RedBAALC - UDUALC). Its purpose is to make available to the communities of higher education and research institutions and to the general public information resources useful for their functions and activities.
