Sarah Ruhl (Milkweed Editions)
Originally from Illinois, Ruhl was twice a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and once a recipient of a MacArthur Grant. In her plays which include "Eurydice", "In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play)", and "Demeter in the City" she is interested in telling stories that engage the audience's imagination by balancing lightness and heaviness as well as the ordinary and the surreal.
