American Experience is created by PBS to inform watchers about various aspects of American history. Some are available to watch from the website, others may be found in Academic Video Online, and others can be found on DVD (either in our collection or through Interlibrary Loan)

YouTube has millions of videos of varying quality, but there are many high-quality, reputable resources. For example, I found a 20/20 story on a black family who bought a house for family get togethers and realized it was a plantation where their own ancestors were enslaved. Be sure to do some evaluation to make sure the video is what it says it is.

Check out the DVD collection in Bertrand Library for documentaries. You can search WorldCat and limit to DVDs. If we don't have them, you may be able to get them through Interlibrary Loan.
