10 Things to Know!

 

  1. Your Subject Librarian is your primary contact for instruction support, research, and collections. 
  2. Bertrand Library Spaces include a podcasting studio, a recording studio, a GIS laboratory, student study rooms, and a faculty reading room. 
  3. You can make your work open access and increase its visibility by adding it to the Bucknell University Digital Commons.
  4. Bertrand Library features a robust DVD Collection, a current reading collection, and a board game collection. Explore the library catalog to see what's available, or stop by the Library!
  5. Faculty can borrow books for an entire academic year. Use your Library Account to see your checked out books and to request renewals.
  6. Digital Pedagogy & Scholarship staff are available to help you integrate and troubleshoot educational technology in your classes
  7. All first-year students are assigned a personal librarian to help them get to know the library and its services.
  8. The Tech Desk is available to help with hardware and software issues. Submit a Ticket, email techdesk@bucknell.edu, or call 570-577-7777. For classroom technology emergencies call 570-577-3435.
  9. Equipment Services provides computer and media technology on a short-term loan basis. To request or browse equipment, use the online portal or stop by the Equipment Desk on the first floor of the Library.
  10. The Bertrand Library Cafe, a popular spot to grab coffee and quick snacks, is located on the main floor of the Library.
