Comprehensive and continuously updated Chinese journal database with coverage from 1951. Citation and abstraction information for all subjects, but full-text is only available for the Literature/History/Philosophy series. Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader or CAJ viewer installed on your computer to view the full-text articles.

The primary database for literature studies, MLA is a good place to start if you are seeking scholarly articles about Chinese or Japanese literature or literature in translation. It includes citations for books, journal articles, and dissertations concerning literature, folklore, linguistics, modern languages, and the dramatic arts.

A collection of full text scholarly journals from a variety of subject areas, including East Asian Studies. Consider limiting your initial search by discipline and be aware that JSTOR does not often cover a journal's most recently published issues.
