East Asian Studies: Japanese Language & Literature

Find Books in Japanese

You can use WorldCat, the library catalog, to find books in Japanese.  On the Advanced Search screen, simply narrow your search by language by selecting "Japanese" on the "Language" pull down menu.  You can also narrow your search by language on your results screen by using the "Refine Your Search" menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

There are also ways to find digitized books on the internet.  A great resource is the National Diet Library of Japan.  Take a look at their Digital Library, where you can find digitized books, periodicals, recordings, and rare historic materials.
