Your First-year Personal Librarian is Jason Snyder.

Jason Snyder is Librarian/Manager of Communications and Outreach at Bertrand Library. He is also the librarian for English, Languages/Cultures/Linguistics, and Film/Media Studies. Jason’s primary responsibilities at the library include teaching information literacy skills to students, building the library’s collections, planning orientation and outreach programs, and assisting Bucknell students and faculty with their research needs.

A double alumnus from Bucknell (BA, MA in English), Jason also has an MLS from the University of Maryland at College Park, and has been with Bertrand Library since 2002.

A media and music nut, Jason particularly enjoys horror and science fiction films, Archer, South Park, The Simpsons and other animated comedies, and loves the music of Prince. He recently made a pilgrimage to Paisley Park, Prince’s home/recording studio/museum, which is located near Minneapolis. Jason enjoys languages and international travel, and has visited over twenty countries. Jason also enjoys playing racquetball and bicycling.
