Information Literacy Toolkit: Resources: Residential College JFs

Workshop questions: small groups

Talk with your small group about the following questions.  One person in each group should take notes.  Be prepared to share your ideas with the larger group.

1. What myths about library research do first-year students need to have dispelled?

2. What do you wish you’d known as a first-year student about the library and about library research?

3. What ideas do you have for making the library more welcoming to first-year students?

4. How confident are you about using the library and its resources? What questions come to mind now that we can help answer?
