Disability Services and Accessibility

Armchair seating

The following locations have armchairs available:

  • Third floor hallway
  • Private armchair cubbies are in the journal collection on the second floor
  • Traditional and East reading rooms on the second floor
  • Area in front of the DVD collection on the first floor
  • Tech courtyard on the first floor
  • 24-hr space on the first floor
  • Surrounding the spiral staircase on lower level one
  • Underneath and around the staircase on lower level two (armchairs and beanbags)
  • Back wall of lower level two

Most armchairs have small folding desks that can be pulled out to work on.

Rolling chairs

The following areas have tables with rolling chairs available:

  • All group study rooms
  • Third floor tutoring lab
  • Third floor faculty reading room (also has rolling tables)
  • Tech courtyard on the first floor
  • 24-hour space on the first floor
  • In front of the research help area on the first floor
  • Library lab on lower level one
  • GIS Underground on lower level one
  • Digital Video Editing Lab on lower level one
  • Computer Lab 12
  • Lower level one, in the center and around the edges of the N-P stacks
  • Study cubbies on lower level two
  • Lower level two, in the center

Couches and booths

The following areas have couches or booths available:

  • Single seat booths in the journal collection on the second floor
  • Outer edges of the tech courtyard on the first floor, next to the windows
  • Cafe seating area on the first floor
  • Area in front of the DVD collection on the first floor
  • Back wall of lower level two

Most of these have small folding desks that can be pulled out to work on.

Wooden tables and chairs

The following areas have solid wooden tables and chairs (that do not roll) available:

  • Second floor, in front of the science collection
  • First floor
  • Map room on lower level one

High tables

The following areas have high tables with barstool seating available:

  • In the back of the second floor journal collection
  • Tech courtyard on the first floor
