A number of administrative divisions on campus support the activities of scholarly communications. While the Scholarly Communications team is comprised of L&IT staff, you can assemble a cross-campus support team depending on your activities and need. Below are a few of the divisions and a description of the activities that support scholarly communication.
The Provost sets the University’s expectations regarding teaching, scholarship and service to its academic community, provides development opportunities, grants in support of open access, and coordinates ethical investigation through the Institutional Review Board.
The Office of Sponsored Projects helps members of the Bucknell community find funders, develop strategies for seeking external support and submit proposals to public and private organizations.
The division manages campus Social Media Guidelines and provides support to Bucknell faculty and staff who are considering establishing or are already managing a social media presence affiliated with the University. The Media Relations team works with a network of journalists from around the world to shine a spotlight on compelling campus stories and respond to media inquiries related to Bucknell.
Research Services, Digital Pedagogy and Scholarship, and BisonNet Computing Services
Bucknell University Press is a scholarly book publisher dedicated to disseminating new work in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. Press staff are also available to consult with Bucknell faculty about the publishing process, including proposal writing, peer review, contract negotiation, and book production. The Press maintains a library of resources on publishing-related topics, from revising the dissertation to copyright and permissions questions.
